Donation guidelines

If you’d hand it to a friend, we’d love to have it.

Clothing goes directly to kids. A quick check before you pack helps volunteers spend time sorting, not discarding.

We gladly accept

  • Clean, gently used clothing in sizes newborn through 16
  • Shoes in pairs, with life left in the soles
  • Coats, jackets, snow pants, hats, and gloves
  • School uniforms and athletic wear
  • New items with or without tags

Please keep these out

  • Stained, torn, or heavily pilled items
  • Clothing that has been recalled
  • Underwear and socks that are not new
  • Car seats, cribs, toys, or bedding
  • Items with strong odors or pet hair

The quick check

Ready to give vs. ready to recycle

Clean, gently used children’s shirt in good condition
Ready to giveClean, intact seams, colors still bright. This goes straight to a partner.
Worn children’s clothing with holes and stains
Ready to recycleHoles, stains, or broken zippers. We’ll recycle it, but it won’t reach a child.
