Another Childhood
A winter coat that no longer fit one child became exactly what another child needed.

The coat arrived in an Outgrown bag with two pairs of corduroys and a stack of long-sleeve tees. A volunteer named the color "the good blue" and set it on the winter table.
Three weeks later, a family resource center posted a request for warm layers in size 6. The coat went out with eleven other pieces that afternoon.
We don’t share who received it — that’s the point. What we know is that it was cold that week, and it fit.
Outgrown stories are illustrative and never identify the children or families who receive clothing.
